Privacy Policy
How Millowi collects, uses, and stores account, community, subscription, advertising, and safety data.
Draft status
This privacy policy is a working pre-launch draft. It should be reviewed before production release, especially after the final hosting provider, domain, analytics tools, email provider, object storage, and payment provider are chosen.
Information we collect
We collect account details you provide directly, including username, email address, password credentials, profile details, account type, business category, uploaded media, posts, comments, reactions, bookmarks, follows, messages, notifications, and reports submitted through the platform.
Subscription and advertising data
If subscriptions or campaign tools are enabled, we may collect plan selections, billing status, payment provider references, business names, campaign names, budgets, dates, target audience descriptions, ad copy, and destination URLs. Payment card details should be handled by the payment provider rather than stored directly by Millowi.
How we use that information
We use your information to operate the service, display community content, personalize account features, support subscriptions, review ad campaigns, moderate abuse, investigate reports, prevent spam and fraud, improve product features, and maintain account security. Moderation actions and reports may be reviewed by staff.
Visibility of content
Posts, comments, profile details, community activity, badges, and some business or campaign-facing information may be visible to other users depending on where they are published. Removed content may still be retained for moderation, audit, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Media and uploaded files
Images and other supported uploads may be stored on Millowi systems or object storage providers and served back in feeds, profiles, communities, ad placements, and discussion pages as part of the product experience.
Cookies, logs, and security data
We may process session cookies, CSRF tokens, request logs, IP addresses, browser metadata, device signals, rate-limit events, and error logs to keep accounts signed in, protect the service, investigate abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
Service providers
Millowi may use infrastructure, email, storage, analytics, uptime monitoring, error logging, payment, and security providers to operate the service. These providers should only receive the data needed for their role.
Retention
We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or accounting requirements, enforce policies, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain backups. Retention periods should be finalized before launch.
Your choices
You may update account details in settings where available, request email verification, deactivate your account, manage browser cookies, and contact Millowi about privacy requests. Some data may be retained when required for security, legal, billing, or moderation reasons.
